Finances

Hurrah, my dear friend, my trip to the Middle West was so successful that I was able to send Margaret quite a large sum when I got back to New York. And I found Arnold in splendid spirits having organised a course of six lectures at a hall he has hired for six dollars a night. So that he has advertised these lectures properly and wisely with all the rest of the money he could afford and he has already by sale of tickets practically covered all expenses. If these New York lectures are a success they'll be the first we have made to succeed, 'on our own', independent of any organisation - and I really think they will be.
