Niagara Falls, 16 February, Monday - 2 pm (1914)

This particular journey I am now upon is a very tedious and long one. Yesterday I left the shores of Lake Cayogo [sic: in fact Lake Cayuga] in the state of New York and am now aiming for London, Ontario. The train lands me, I find, at a place called St. Thomas, twenty miles from London - but they say there is a Trolley Car between the two. However it looks like heavy snow, and I don't feel very delighted at the prospect of riding twenty miles through Canada in a Trolley Car. (Letters to His Brother Llewelyn)
